3-Hour Trek

Not every adventure has to last all day. The 3-hour tour is the perfect introduction for families with young children, anyone who wants a first taste of the jungle – or those who prefer to take it slow.

Flexible pick-up between 9:00 and 12:00 directly from your accommodation. The route follows the river at a relaxed pace, through rubber plantations and up to the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park. Along the way, our guide brings the rainforest to life – and with a little luck, you'll spot your first orangutans high up in the treetops.

After a break with fresh fruit, it's time to head back – not on foot, but rafting down the Bohorok River. The "Jungle Taxi" is the most fun way back to Bukit Lawang and a highlight for kids and adults alike.

1-Day Trek

More time, more depth, more jungle. The full-day tour takes you into the heart of the rainforest – for those who want to truly experience Gunung Leuser National Park.

Departure at 9:00 with pick-up from your accommodation. The route first follows the river, then winds through rubber plantations before heading deep into the national park. This is where the real spotting begins: orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques – and a chorus of birdsong you won't forget in a hurry.

After a shared lunch in the jungle, there's a break at a stream or waterfall – time to cool off, play and catch your breath. The tour wraps up with a rafting ride back to Bukit Lawang, arriving at around 15:00–16:00.

Day 1
Pick-up at around 9:00, and your journey into the rainforest begins. The route takes you through river landscapes, rubber plantations and into Gunung Leuser National Park. Along the way, there's a good chance of spotting orangutans in the wild.

Your guide keeps the trek family-friendly throughout – with breaks, small games for children and engaging stories about the surrounding nature. After a fruit stop and a viewpoint, you'll reach your jungle camp in the afternoon.

Here, kids can splash in the river, explore the surroundings or simply rest. In the evening, the group eats together and ends the day around the campfire.

Day 2
After breakfast, the group continues at a relaxed pace through the rainforest, with a focus on wildlife spotting and playful nature experiences for younger explorers. If you'd like, you can also visit a nearby waterfall for a swim and some downtime. 3-Day Trek

For those who truly want to experience the jungle: The 3-day tour is our most intensive and unforgettable offering. Those who embark on this journey will be immersed in wilderness, silence, and a natural environment that will stay with them long after they've returned home.

Day 1

Pick-up at 9:00. The first leg takes you through the familiar river landscapes and rubber plantations on the edge of the jungle, before you venture deeper into Gunung Leuser National Park than on any of our other tours. As you go deeper, the encounters become more intense: orangutans, langurs, macaques – and a silence that feels like the end of the world. After a fruit break and a viewpoint, you'll reach your first jungle camp in the afternoon.

Day 2

The second day is dedicated to the rainforest. No fixed schedule – more time for wildlife viewing, quiet moments by the river, and the feeling of truly arriving. Lunch is cooked together in the jungle. If you wish, you can visit the nearest waterfall with your guide and enjoy the refreshing water. In the evening: a campfire, a starry sky, and the sounds of the forest.

Day 3

The final leg back towards Bukit Lawang – with eyes wide open for everything missed on the way there. The crowning finale is a rafting trip on the Bohorok River. Arrival around 14:00–15:00.
